Are you struggling to understand your autistic child?
If you are, you’re not alone.
You love your child and want the best for them but it can be hard to know how to help them when you both think so differently.
Why do the very things that comfort you when you’re upset, further trigger your child?
Why is it so hard to get ready and out the door each day?
Why is communication always such a struggle?
It’s hard to feel good about your parenting when nothing seems to come easily. Parenting a child who experiences the world differently to you IS hard. However, it’s equally difficult for your child, who craves understanding and support in a world they don’t fully understand.
It all comes down to understanding.
Some days, it seems nothing goes right
When stress and emotions are heightened, small issues can morph into explosive episodes in the blink of an eye. This is especially true when you struggle to truly understand your child and their needs.
The fact is, it’s hard to connect with anyone if you don’t understand them.
So, how do you gain more understanding and lay the foundations for a better relationship with your autistic child?
One way is to continue searching for answers online, trawling through millions of good and not-so-good resources for information to better help you and your family.
A better way is to learn from the lived experience of autistic adults, fellow parents and autism professionals. People who have walked the same path as you, armed with the knowledge and experience to help grow your understanding and your confidence as a parent.
The good news? You can access this knowledge in the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you, for FREE!
