Lesson: 001 – Sil Lum Tao (Part 1)

This lesson teaches you all 3 sections of the Sil Lum Tao form and explains in detail the principles and concepts of the first section. These principles provide a solid foundation in understanding how Wing Chun works and is required knowledge in order to apply Wing Chun techniques in a combat situation. The principles of the other 2 sections are explained in Part 2. 1 hour 4 minutes

Lesson: 002 – Sil Lum Tao (Part 2)

This lesson continues the explanation of the principles of second and third sections of the Sil Lum Tao form. It also reveals a more advanced way to train in the form to develop balance and a solid foundation in the Yee Jee Kim Yeung Ma horse stance. 1 hour 2 minutes

Lesson: 003 – Yee Jee Kim Yeung Ma

This lesson teaches how to train the Yee Jee Kim Yeung Ma horse stance. It also introduces many supporting exercises and shows some examples of advanced application of the Yee Jee Kim Yeung Ma. 24 minutes

Lesson: 004 – Single Hand Chi Sao

This lesson introduces the student to Chi Sao by showing and explaining how to perform and train the single hand (Chi Dan Sao). It explains the principles behind each movement and how performing Chi Sao correctly benefits the student. Finally, it shows the student how to get ready to transition to performing Chi Sao with two hands. 58 minutes

Lesson: 005 – Covering and Hitting

This lesson teaches the student how to cover punches and kicks using Gaun Sao and Quan Sao and also how to attack simultaneously with the Tan Da and Gaun Da hands of Wing Chun. 34 minutes

Lesson 006 – Pak Sao

This lesson teaches you how to use the Pak Sao to intercept your opponents punch. There are over 30 different ways to use the Pak Sao, and you learn the concept behind the Pak Sao and how it is used to intercept and redirect your opponents punch while simultaneously attacking. 48 minutes

Lesson 007 – The Chase

This lesson teaches you how to use the empty hand pulling chain punch, the punches seen in the last part of the Sil Lum Tao form. When these punches are correctly combined with the proper horse and footwork it can create a devastating attack. The student will learn the correct way to use these punches to overcome their opponent. 38 minutes

Lesson 008 – Speed and Timing

This lesson teaches you how to develop lighting fast speed and how speed and timing are related. You will learn the beginning training drills to develop and maintain your balance within your center of gravity while timing your opponent. The lesson breaks down, explains and demonstrates the different stages of timing and how to develop each one. 53 minutes

Lesson 009 – Level 1 Power Training

This lesson teaches you unique power training exercises that are specific to the Wing Chun techniques. Performing these exercises correctly and diligently enables you, the Wing Chun practitioner, to develop devastatingly powerful strikes. These exercises prepare the foundation to develop Gong Lik…the projection of power. 32 minutes

The lineage of Applied Wing Chun comes from Duncan Leung who was given the nick name of the “Wing Chun Warrior”. He is a private disciple of Yip Man who had literally hundreds and hundreds of brutal fights while learning to apply his art. He has proven the principles and application of Wing Chun and has taught the same to many students, including the author of this video series, Larry Saccoia. Larry himself learned the application of Wing Chun through a countless number of fights.

In these video lessons Sifu Larry Saccoia explains and demonstrates these principles in a logical straight forward manner so they are easily understood. Understanding these principles as well as the correct way to train the techniques provides the foundation required to apply Wing Chun in a combat situation. These lessons are laid out in chronological manner as to allow the student to build a solid foundation and move forward to advanced studies. Therefore, it is recommended that even if you have previous experience in Wing Chun, you should still start from the beginning of Lesson 1 and work your way through each of the lessons in order. The same principles you might already be familiar with are likely presented (and more importantly, trained) in a way that you may not be familiar with (but that you will come to appreciate).
