We can hold discordant energy on ourselves, past events, or really anyone from our past and present, based on the beliefs and perceptions we’ve made about those people and events.

(Most of these perceptions were made subconsciously, so we’re not even aware we have them.)

Our parents (in this life and other lives) are prime people we hold strong, and often negative, perceptions about.

We might think: “They weren’t loving enough.” “They were thoughtless and intolerant.” “They abandoned me emotionally.” Or we might idolize them, feeling they were loving, kind, and selfless, but that we could never measure up to their greatness. Either way, this energy can block us.

Holding discordant energy on yourself or others can become stifling to your creativity, can seriously limit your soul’s path in life, and can feel weighty, restrictive, and ultimately may result in mental, emotional, or even physical illness.
