You will learn about the various types of fabric, their specific qualities and common uses, how to care for and prepare each, and the additional materials used in the creation of various garments. You have two methods of putting your garments together at your disposal – manual sewing and machine sewing. The Fashion Design and Dressmaking Diploma Course talks through some of the equipment used in sewing, it provides illustrated guidance on some basic manual stitches and explains how to use a sewing machine.
