Amy Dixon is one of the most dynamic fitness instructors and presenters in the industry today. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology and many other fitness certifications. Amy is the official fitness spokesperson for Women’s Health Magazine, a fitness consultant for Equinox Fitness Clubs, as well as a Master Trainer for Schwinn, BOSU and GRAVITY. Dixon is a former World competitive power tumbler and coach and uses that experience everyday in her classes. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she is best known for her energy and enthusiasm for fitness. Her energy is contagious. She delivers a fun, performance based class and works hard to educate and motivate her students to achieve extraordinary results. Her talents have been featured on the Today Show, Exercise TV, Your LA, Fox News, MTV, and various international television shows.
Her classes and insights have been reported in Women’s Health Magazine, Self Magazine, Shape Magazine, Variety Magazine, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. It’s a series of non-stop progressions — after just a couple reps, you’ll already be adding new elements to previous movements (which keeps your muscles challenged and your mind engaged). The two aerobic sections feature simple, strong combinations — from jumping jacks and back kicks to punches and bob-and-weaves. The two toning sections are designed for maximum — optional — variety (e.g. you can stick with a basic curtsey squat, or add in the leg extension and tricep press). The ending toning and stretch is part of the DVD’s “bonus” segment.Requires 3 to 10 lb. dumbbells.
