Description
This course introduces the concept of movement assessments and enhancement via myofascial release techniques. It includes a review of the current literature supporting the theory of foam rollers and mobility balls for the purposes of pain mitigation, rehabilitation, activity preparation, and recovery.
In order to gain full knowledge and experience from this recording, please have a roller and a mobility ball. You should wear comfortable clothing to allow for full range of motion and be prepared to MOVE.

Faculty
Stuart Wilson, MS, PT

Stu is a teacher, a physical therapist, and a human movement junkie. Stuart began his PT career on the Big Island of Hawaii where he worked with all levels of athletes and orthopedic patients. Stuart owned and operated the Champion Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy clinic in Denver, CO. Champion specialized in sport-specific analysis and treatment that utilized a biomechanical, manual and functional medicine approach to problem solving. Stu is currently a director at Panther Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Colorado where he continues to treat many patients and athletes of all levels.
Stuart graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Exercise Sport Science, emphasis on Sports Medicine, and Human Anatomy and Neurobiology. He went on to earn his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver, CO. Stuart has consulted for the USA Triathlon and has gained a respectful reputation as a running and cycling expert. He also served as the lead PT for the Colorado Ballet. Currently he is an affiliate faculty member for Regis University. He has submerged himself in SFMA Level 1 and 2, and has become FMS certified. He has completed Level 1 of 2 of the Functional Dry Needling certification.
Stuart presents on many topics including skiing, running, cycling, functional medicine, exercise as medicine, injury prevention, and functional ergonomics. He enjoys being outside and active with running, biking, hiking, snowboarding and playing on sports teams including ice hockey and soccer. Stuart’s favorite thing to do is be with his amazing wife and their two awesome young children.
