In my opinion, they are much better & more cohesive later, as on this DVD, than in the original CD recordings… So here they are at their best, on a good night, well recorded in a concert setting in the beautiful One World Theatre in Austin, TX ~Terry Bozzio
This performance represents the peak of my compositional development with my “Tamo Ash” diatonic piccolo tom kit. (Before I added the chromatic notes and started using DW’s rack mounting system). Because of the aforementioned evolution of my kit, and my never-ending desire to change and grow, I stopped playing many of these pieces around that time (c.2002).
So here they are at their best, on a good night well recorded in a concert setting in the beautiful One World Theatre in Austin, TX.
In addition, I did an educational seminar in the afternoon, where I explained my techniques and concepts in concise detail and demonstrate, perform and analyze them for you. Questions from audience members are taken and answered, giving insight into my history, feelings and thoughts on many sbjects pertaining to the art of drumming and my career.
Topics include:
Rhythm, Melody, Harmony, Dynamics and Orchestration as applied to the drum set.
Compositional Techniques, The Ostinato, Form and Structure are also demonstrated and discussed.
