Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders – Power Squad Bod! – Body Slimming Yoga
I’m a beginner at yoga and have just started. This is definitely for those who are quick with the basic poses and are wanting more body sculpting. I loved the fact that here are two workouts, one 25 min. and one 45 min. Since I had the day off I thought I would try the 45 min. workout. I was only able to last 15 minutes. Even though I didn’t finish, every muscle in my entire body is shaking right now. I think you will get a great body with this DVD. The coach on the DVD is also great at helping you maintain breathing and suggests modifications if you are having trouble.
I used to do a lot of yoga but hadn’t in a while and wanted to start up again so I decided to try this. It might be a little challenging for a beginner and it’s pretty fast paced but I found it to be a good workout and similar to what I remember of all my yoga classes. I like that there’s a 25 and 45 minute option. I wish there was more variety and it’s missing some good yoga poses but it’s a good start and for the price I’d definitely recommend it.
I always do the 20 min. segment. The movements/poses are very easy to follow & they don’t stay in them for very long, which is great.
The 45 min. segment is much too long, for me that is. The poses are too long in this segment, in my opinion. But it’s excellent to do first thing in the morning to start the day great
I wasn’t sure about this one so tried on Netflix first, but was pleasantly surprised. There are 2 practices on the disc, 1 25-minute and 1 45-minute. Both are good basic flow yoga workouts that really focus on breathing and improving strength/flexibility.
I like that the instructor is not performing the yoga, I believe that it feels more like a class that way than a practice, and I like the way he starts with the easiest pose and then explains other variations in order of difficulty.
He is also very easy to follow verbally, after the first couple times doing the workout I started looking at the screen very little. The 45 minute practice flies by, and normally I get pretty bored during yoga, so I definitely recommend! Only down side is sometimes the camera can be a little wobbly, which can be disorienting when you watch it, and some people would probably think he talks too constantly, but I like the continual verbal cues and encouragement.
This is a pretty good work out for beginners, advanced yoga-ers will probably be bored with it. I love how he makes the focus breathing, that’s always something I have trouble with when I work out, especially with yoga/pilates. The reminders to breathe aren’t too annoying either. I would definitely recommend for the beginner-intermediate levels. ?
The two yoga workouts on this DVD are good, but pretty basic. I like Kurt Johnson’s instruction but some of the flow from pose to pose felt a little awkward. There are two routines, one 25 minute and one 45 minute. I would have liked a full 30 minute routine and an hour long routine. The two routines felt very similar and I would have liked a little more variety between the two. Overall a decent DVD for the money.
The yoga workout is very descriptive, provides great instruction, and gets the heart rate up. I really like the length of the DVD. It is forty-five minutes long which makes you feel like you had a great workout! I’m ready for the sequel!
