Deborah Perry Piscione is a principal of Vorto Consulting, a Silicon Valley–based innovation consultancy firm that focuses on growth. She is also a serial entrepreneur, bestselling author, and public speaker, and specializes her speaking and consulting work in her innovation methodology, Improvisational Innovation.
Deborah is currently on tour with her latest book, The Risk Factor: Why Every Organization Needs Big Bets, Bold Characters, and the Occasional Spectacular Failure. In The Risk Factor, she reveals how risk-taking can enable organizational change and internal innovation.
In her 2013 national best-selling book, Secrets of Silicon Valley: What Everyone Else Can Learn from the Innovation Capital of the World, Deborah covers the characteristics of the Silicon Valley ecosystem, the history of how the culture came into being, the future of innovation and exponential technologies, and whether Silicon Valley can be replicated.
