We Don’t Come With Instruction Manuals For Any Body Part, Even the Most Important One: Our Brain
So we have to make decisions based on what we know, by experimentation.
But there is something we do know:
The quality of your life is largely determined on the quality of your thoughts.
Why do some people seem to be happy all the time, others aren’t.
Why are some people successful, and others struggle?
Earl Nightingale, one of the great motivational speakers in the history of the world stated, “we become what we think about most of the time”.
He wasn’t being “philosophical”, he was being practical.
We literally BECOME the product of our THOUGHTS.
If you think a lot about food all day, guess what? You’re going to get hungry.
If you think a lot about buying a house, guess what? You’ll probably end up buying a house.
If you think a lot about changing jobs, guess what? You’ll probably get another job.
If you think you can’t do something, you’re probably right.
First, it’s impractical to make you do something you don’t want to do. And second, you’ve already committed to not even trying.
I’m not talking about ‘positive thinking’ vs ‘negative thinking’ – NO! Far from it!
What I’m talking about it is using your ability to think about certain things, in a certain way to CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
Here’s an example of what I mean:
ACCIDENTAL THINKERS
When someone, who never had the idea to buy a house before, drives down a road and sees a family enjoying themselves and playing in the front yard of a well-kept and beautiful house a ‘spark of an idea or a feeling takes shape: “hmm I’d like that too”
A few days later they hear someone at work mention they are buying a house. They think “huh, how about that. they are buying a house. I could do that”.
A few days go by and pretty soon they become hyper-focused and ‘tuned into’ discussions around them, on their favorite podcast, on YouTube about buying a home.
All of a sudden, it seems like the entire world is talking about buying a house!
Pretty soon it’s ALL THEY CAN THINK ABOUT too.
So what do they do?
They buy a house.
I call these type of people, “accidental thinkers”.
He never intended to buy a house a few weeks ago, but now he has one.
The idea never started with him, it started as an ‘spark’ of an image of a family playing in the front yard which he came across by accident driving down the road, and the spark became a flame, then it raged out of control until he HAD to take action.
THE MIND HACK METHOD
