Lesson Description:

The fifth section Chi Sao is not a long one but nevertheless, it is interesting in the sense we look at applying Chi Sao from having 2 arms on the inside or 2 arms on the outside of your opponents.

The main focus of the fifth section is in dealing with how to escape your arm from being trapped or completely blocked from your opponent.

Bearing in mind that we repeatedly tell you not to get into fixed patterns, and that we strive to make you understand that – these lessons are to be viewed as a tool to help you grow.

Of course we look at how this section keep the combat principles alive and active. In this lesson Sifu Fernandez puts particular emphasis on maintaining combat mode.

The nucleus of the fifth section looks at how we can execute an attack and then, if we are suddenly countered with an obstacle such as a lever or counter trapping, how to deal and counter his counter attack… confusing? Not really… we look at how to maintain fluidity in the case things don’t quite go our way.
